The Last Song Movie | Fan Site

According to www.examiner.com, ‘The Last Song’ movie has bought in welcome tourism to Tybee Island, the location where it is being filmed. Shop owners say that the island is normally empty 40 weeks a year, so anything to bring people in is very welcome. Apparently there is going to be a big boost in tourism both during the filming and afterwards when people have watched the movie and want to go visit the location.

Miley Cyrus has been the main attraction, and seems to be going down well with the locals on the island.

Two girls on the beach said about the Hannah Montana Star, “Miley was so nice and such a real person. She gave us autographed pictures and was really awesome.” The two girls also said that they were coming back the next day because they were shooting a beach volleyball scene and wanted to watch.

The town is 15 minutes from the historic town of Savannah GA and is a family orientated town with colourful houses and nice restaurants. Sounds like a very good location for the movie!

It seems that the lead actress Miley Cyrus is going through some difficult times on the set of ‘The Last Song’.

The Singer and Hannah Montana actress has been going through problems after breaking up with her boyfriend Nick Jonas. On her twitter page she posted ‘I am lovinggg being single ’ but later on she posted ‘why do I listen to songs that make me miss you?’.

Let’s hope she feels better soon!

Miley has just updated on her blog at www.mileycyrus.com, telling of her shooting and how she is enjoying it:

Hi from the set of “the Last Song”. I really love it here in Georgia. Everybody on the set is really great and I’ve got my Mommy and Mammie on the set with me every day. Also have my sweet girl Sophie (my pup) with me. It’s great to have family on the set.

Most nights we have thunderstorms and I love falling asleep to the sound of the rain. There is just something so peaceful in that.

The food here has been amazing. Lovin’ the crab legs at this little place on the island! Yum!!
