Miley appeared on Good Morning America this morning to promote the Last Song Movie. You can watch the whole video here:

The Last Song Movie director, Julie Anne Robinson, has told E! News that Miley is capable of anything and is a very versatile actress.

“She’s like Julia Roberts,” she said. “I feel Miley can do anything – action, comedy, drama. She’s got it all.”

It will be very interesting for us to see her in this role. It is the first real break from TV acting and will be a big decider of her career to come! Cyrus herself has called this movie her ‘Breakout’ moment.

It has been revealed that Miley Cyrus personally requested Kelly Preston to star in the movie.

Kelly had stopped acting previously due to the sad loss of her son the year before.

Kelly will star as the mom in the movie.

Nicholas Spark has given an interview where he has talked about the Last Song movie.

He seemed surprised at the fact that Miley hadn’t read his latest book but then admitted that he didn’t like the Hannah Montana show himself!

Sparks then talked about how he wrote the movie with Cyrus in mind throughout, and how it is tailored to her. He refuses to call his books ‘romance novels’ and says they are more like tragedies!

We’ll just have to wait another few weeks to see what this means for ‘The Last Song’!

Miley had the following to say about her new movie last night at the oscars!:

“I love it. I’ve been just so blessed to play different roles, and especially for the first thing to be ‘The Last Song.’ It’s been so great because it’s something that is me but dramatic and different too.”
